Secure Online Shopping

The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software used to transfer your credit card information is among the best software available today for secure online commerce transactions. It encrypts your personal information so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

As for data authentication and the response to the authorization request, Payment Gateway by PayPal operates following the P.O.S. mode. Sensitive credit card data are transferred onto the PayPal secure server (with 128 bit encryption) and forwarded to the authorization system via a proprietary network. This fully tested and secure payment method guarantees a reliable non-stop service in conformity with the market standards.

Would you like to know how an online transaction actually works?
Let’s find out! System Architecture…
In the system architecture you can identify three factors:

  • Online Customer
  • Merchant Server
  • PayPal

The communication among the different actors takes place on the Internet using http or https protocol (PayPal has 128 bit digital certificate).

Online Transaction Steps:

  • The customer accesses the online catalog and places an order.
  • The request of an online payment is sent to PayPal.
  • PayPal securely routes the transaction to the selected international credit card processor (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners), ensuring that the customer is authorized to make that purchase.
  • PayPal receives the response from the selected credit card processor: the transaction is approved or denied.
  • PayPal sends the result of the transaction in real time as proof of securely processed transaction both to the customer and to the merchant
  • A further confirmation is sent by email to the customer as well as to the merchant.
  • All online orders must be paid in full using PayPal. In-house orders may be paid via PayPal, Bank draft, certified check, or cashier’s check; smaller amounts may be paid via telephone with Visa or MasterCard. Should you not want to use PayPal, please call our office and speak with a representative. PayPal is the only payment method for online orders.
  • Please note that at this stage no financial transaction occurs: if your card is approved for the transaction, the amount is deducted from your card spending limit. For your guarantee, you will be billed only when your order has been accepted by the manufacturer and the goods close to be ready for the shipment.
  • Differences in exchange rates between the day your payment is authorized and the day your card is billed may occur and have not to be complained.
  • You will promptly notified by email as soon as your order has been approved and processed.
  • Please note that the manufacturer may not accept your order for some reason. In this case, you will be promptly notified by email that your order has been not processed and your card spending limit is restored.
